About us

"Alone, we can do so little, but together, we can do so much." – Helen Keller

The Blythswood Charity Society, Banat Branch is a non-profit association with its own legal personality, independent and apolitical, holding the status of a branch of the Blythswood Charity Society. The association is headquartered in the town of Jimbolia, at 132 Ioan Slavici Street, Timiș County, and is accredited as a social services provider with accreditation certificate series AF no. 000981 dated 14.05.2014.

The mission of the association is to improve the living conditions of people in need and their access to information, education, and services—particularly for children from disadvantaged families, people infected with HIV/AIDS, cancer patients, people with disabilities, low-income families, and elderly individuals without means of support. Additionally, it aims to raise funds for the construction and equipping of public healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and cultural establishments. The association also organizes cultural, artistic, and sports events and supports the development of a competitive, socially, and environmentally responsible business environment in local communities.

The Blythswood Charity Society, Banat Branch provides services aimed at preventing the separation of children from their families in two day centers for children from disadvantaged families (covering both primary and secondary school students).

Additionally, the association offers home care services for elderly individuals who cannot care for themselves and live alone, as well as counseling and support programs for people infected with HIV/AIDS.

In partnership with local public authorities, the association annually organizes an artistic creation symposium under the name of Swabian painter Stefan Jäger, as well as an experimental musical theater event for children on International Children’s Day (“The Park of Stories“).

These social services are accredited by the Ministry of Labor and financially supported by Blythswood Care (United Kingdom), the association’s commercial activities (such as Blythswood shops), and local public authorities.
